What’s a bevel and what does it have to do with organizations?
A bevel is basically a rounded or angled corner. More than that, it’s a craftsmanlike detail that either makes something look better or work better.
We treat our work with organizations, managers, teams, and leaders with that same intentionality and care. The result is workshops and learning experiences where the careful design feels natural and almost invisible.
But don’t take our word for it. Reach out, and see what a Bevel Talent experience could look like in your organization.
Meet the Team
Dan Lawner, Principal
Dan Lawner, Principal of Bevel Talent, is a seasoned and certified Talent Development professional, Master Instructional Designer, and certified Associate Diversity Coach who has been designing and facilitating rigorous learning programs and transformative workshops for over 10 years.
During that time, almost every conversation Dan had about engagement and satisfaction at work (with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, friends, and family) ended up focusing on people’s direct manager and/or their team as the main source of their joy or suffering at work. Dan founded Bevel Talent because he believed that improving manager skills and team health would allow him to have the most (and most meaningful) impact he could think of.
Dan has built and led organization-wide manager development programs and team effectiveness workshops for organizations ranging from 100 to 100,000 people, in the nonprofit and private sector. Each of these programs has lived on and continue to have an impact in the those organizations (like Google, Population Services International, Pathfinder International, DAI, and Federated Wireless).
